Our Experience

The P.A. Bootcamp staff includes professionals in all aspects of creative and physical production, with many years of experience and all currently working in the entertainment industry.

Most camp sessions are visited by professional “Guest Instructors” that range from top producers and AD’s to fellow Production Assistants with a story to tell. Each offers a unique perspective and experience to inspire the campers.

Executive Director, Jody Brockway
Jody is a veteran of the television industry. She was Vice President of Movies and Mini Series at NBC for eight years; Vice President, Scripted Programs at Granada America until 2005; and in the past five years has produced television movies for ABC Family Channel.

Drill Instructor, Leigh Paonessa
Leigh has over 13 years of on set Production experience. She has worked as a Set PA, Second Second AD, and Second AD, and her resume includes big budget features such as Transformers, GI Joe, Pirates of the Caribean, as well as low budget features and episodic television.

Drill Instructor, Chuck Canzoneri
Charles has worked in the business for over 10 years as a Set P.A. for such T.V. shows as Arrested Development, Medium and CSI: Miami. He’s also been a Post P.A., a Writer’s P.A. and a non-union Assistant Director on such films as Kaante and Dakota Skye. He’s currently in his 4th Season on The Office.

Drill Instructor, Jennifer Haire
Jennifer earned a BFA in the Producing discipline, from the School of Filmmaking at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Her professional filmmaking experience spans from Line Producer to Production Coordinator in both feature films, television and short films.
She served as Associate Producer on the feature documentary Trekkies 2, UPM on independent features such as Marcus, Montclair , Yeardley and the short film The Shimmering.  Jen was a 2nd Assistant Director on the 2004 Academy Award Winning Short Film Two Soldiers.  She was the production coordinator for the independent feature films Bottoms Up, Heavy Petting and The Stoning of Soraya M. filmed in the Middle East.  Her television experience includes the Travel Channel’s World Poker Tour “Hollywood Home Games,” ABC’S The Bachelor and six seasons of TNT’s The Closer along with various pilots for Lifetime, TBS, TNT and FX. She is on the Board of Directors for IATSE local 871 in Los Angeles and a member of local 161 in NY.  Jennifer is an active member of the Producer’s Guild of America and helps run a West Coast alumni group for UNCSA.
