P.A. Bootcamp provides the skills you need to succeed on set or in the production office.

P.A. BOOTCAMP is taught in a two-day intensive training program with one instructor and a maximum of 8 "campers". The course is held outdoors which is an environment P.A.'s should get used to.

To a most extraordinary troupe of PA Bootcamp Leaders.

During a 2 day intensive, the team handled a group of 65 would-be production assistants covering the real life experience of what a fledgling can expect. With Definitions, Terms, Practical Radio practice, in class participation, a non stop array of visual information, expectations and a large dose of reality, the team set about separating the office pa’s from the set pa’s and in the process sifted out those who were never going to survive the rigors of long hours and commitment to the work of filmmakers and the various assistants who make it all go smoothly.

In a weird way: it is a generous portion of fun, but don’t be fooled. It is a very thorough and complete workshop. My students who were enrolled in the workshop were quick to say:I don’t want to do that work or I am in love with all the action that the team provided.

The SC Film Commission and the University of South Carolina sponsored the workshop and felt it was one of the most valuable we had seen at the university. The training was purely professional and not a moment was wasted nor did they use fillers. These non-academics know how to teach!
